Big heavy hands on fragile feet...

After the rather conceptual sketching of the global and the local of last month, i was looking for a simple theme. I thought of a "table", or a "hand".
Then Tilman came along and did this workshop about "user experience", or Erlebniss in German, belevenis in Dutch.

He had an exercise about weight put on the feet of a person. It should, paradoxically, provoke a feeling of lightness.

Of course, as usual i did everything wrong, first of all i didn't prepare the socks, to be filled with sand, than i didn't have this feeling.
But strange enough, looking at other victims of this exercise i had an acute awareness of my feet standing on the floor.
So something was happening, but not the feeling which was written down by experience law :-)

Combining the search for a simple theme and this exercise i came up with the not at all simple idea for the current month, as can be seen in the title.

Heavy hands holding down fragile feet.

As usual, while sketching, the first associations disappeared and other thoughts replaced them.
What came out was a figure, put on the ground by all too heavy fat armoured hands, but at the same time this figure stretches herself skyhigh, in a mood of victory.

So what i didn't succeed in doing in real life, not having the prescribed feeling was happening in the drawing. Maybe this experience exercise is only to be drawn???

But there is more to be seen: isn't the being attached to the ground by absolute force the "local", and having your head in the clouds the "global"?

What is a drawing, or what is in a drawing, we can never tell in words!!!

PS, and what is this:
It is of course not the "Stehen" of Tilman, not one of his Existienzialen, his Abstracts, it is not local, nor global.....
:-)
