magnetic drawing
Komisches Thema! Zeichnungen können nur magnetisch sein zwischen dem Betrachter und der Zeichnung eben. „Man fühlt sich angezogen“ … hahaha wobei man doch eher nackich ist.
Really funny theme! Drawings can only be magnetic by means of relation between drawing and recipient. One supposes to be attracted… hahaha – the stupid German pun is not translatable into English.
So let me start of with an analytical approach:
We do it a little bit more obvious:
Oh that’s a really wonderful expression!
But you have proposed, I mean insisted to work with a very important tool, a tool, which is extremely delicate, almost like a saw, when you want to repair a watch. (“what watch?”)
But I tried and I tried, but I didn’t have any satisfaction. So I poured on it some iron filings and watch out what happened: (what watch?)
But still I didn’t think, that it was worthwhile continuing like this.
I tried the old trick to look in the packet of old drawings.
I found a wood carving that might have a slight idea of what could be meant by “magnetic”, but I still thought it was too stupid.
I came back to the idea with the iron flings. I took a glass plate, put on top of it a piece of paper and underneath a strong magnet.
What curious fellows appeared in the same moment! (with a little helper of course…)
some more of these very astonishing appearances:
but the last one that I tried out, of course did something that I didn’t expect: it became figurative!
So I just had to add some legs and an arm and obviously it became a very important person.
even more important like this:
and extremely important, almost too much, man!
So we decide to destroy….
But we are very kind, so we leave him – even if he is completely destroyed - his most important instrument.
are you now attracted enough by the attractive force of our magnetic disaster?
And what about the new theme: I say: “magnetic village” -
Good luck for both of us!
